November News! Week 1
- Northwood Temple 2019 Forward Brandon Franklin picked up his first offer from Winston Salem State University this week. Franklin is a player who has a nice amount of upside and intrigue, at about 6’8-6’9, he can knock down the deep ball and has a very long wingspan. Living in the weight room will be key for him in developing more muscle so that he is able to embrace contact better at the next level.
- Southern Durham HS 2019 Guard Jayvis Harvey has reopened his recruitment, Harvey had made a verbal pledge to Radford but has now decided to reopen the recruiting process. At 6’4 with high scoring ability and a good amount of upside, he’s a player that should have his phone ringing quite a bit until he decides on a school.
- 2019 Guard El Ellis made his debut for Quality Education on Tuesday night and finished with a stat line of 20 points, 7 Assist and 5 Rebounds. Ellis is a player that we know can put the ball in the bucket at a very high level and he has made the transition to QEA smoothly. D1 programs have offered at shown interest over the past year at a pretty rapid level so now it will be all about finding the right fit when selecting a college.
- 2022 G/F MJ Rice picked up another recently from Providence, the Durham Academy & Team Wall star is a player that has a chance to be a top guy nationally if he continues to work. His size and physique are things that you don’t see from a high school player his age at all, very special talent with a bright future.
- 2020 Village Christian Guard Zavian Mclean recently took unofficial visits to Wofford and NC A&T, both are programs that are showing interest in McLean and rightfully so. He is a freakish athlete and a player that brings intensity every single time he steps on the floor, he defends at a high level and doesn’t back down from any challenge.
- 2019 Forward CK Everett made his debut for Quality Education and finished with a double/double of 10 points & 10 rebounds. CK is hands down one of the most athletic, if not the most athletic, players in the state. It will be interesting to see his performance this season as QEA always has a tough schedule with top teams in the state and country.
