Key Wins: Village Christian, New Life Christian
Trinity has hit the ground running this season and currently holds the top spot in the city for public and private schools. Their schedule wont get any easier as they play in some top notch holiday events.
#2 Village Christian (Record 5-3)
Key Wins: Berean Baptist, Potters House
The Knights seemed to have hit their stride as of late and are now on a 3 game winning streak which includes a win over nationally ranked Potters House. Look for the squad to continue to play well as they continue to mesh.
#3 Fayetteville Academy (Record 3-1)
Key Win: Freedom Christian
New Head Coach Boyette has the Eagles playing some of the most intense defense that we have seen from them in years. Combine that with some D1 and D2 prospects on the roster and you have a very scary team come playoff time.
#4 Freedom Christian (Record 2-3):
Key Win: New Life Christian
Freedom didn’t get off to the best start initially but as of late they seem like they are hitting their stride. With plenty of new faces as far as transfers and a new coaching staff, it’s to be expected that they would some time to get things right.
#5 Northwood Temple (Record 5-3):
Key Wins: Berean Baptist, New Life Christian
Northwood has started off the season in a decent manner, they have played a mixture of good and average teams so far. Their backcourt of Jamahri Harvey and Josh Nickleberry has provided a high amount of offense for them so far this year.
#6 Fayetteville Christian (Record 6-1):
Key Wins: Calvary Day, Grace Christian
Their start to the season has been very impressive and they will face their toughest challenge tonight vs Carmel Christian. The Warriors are a team that bring 100% every game and play fundamental team basketball.
#7 Cape Fear Christian (Record 7-1):
Key Wins: New Life Christian, Berean Baptist
CFCA has been one of the surprise teams so far, although their schedule hasn’t been the toughess, they have played well. Guard EJ Bethea has been playing very well for them and averaging 23 PPG
#8 New Life Christian (Record 3-6):
Key Win: Raleigh Homeschool
The Monarchs have had one of the more difficult schedules of any private school in the area and have had some injuries that haven’t help the situation at all. Things won’t get any easier for the squad as they have some bigtime matchups all through the month of December.
#9 Berean Baptist Academy (Record 2-4):
One of the younger teams and coaching staffs, the Bulldogs have struggled this season. If they want to be successful they will need some MVP type numbers from Senior Guard Aaron Sinclair
