THE SKINNY
Bethesda-Chevy Chase had a good team even prior to the return of Elijah Wood, but now that he’s back they are a legit contender. Bowie has a lot of talent this season, with the Carson brothers and Kyree Freeman-Davis. The Bulldogs are in contention to be the top team from Prince Georges County this year. Dulaney has a core of very good returning players including unsigned senior Cameron Amoruso, elite 2020 prospect Che Evans, versatile scorers Cameron Byers, Ike Cornish, and crafty 2021 point guard Ryan Conway. Eleanor Roosevelt is an experienced team led by seniors Cameron Brown, Isaiah Gross, Kyle Rose, and Jaamir Butler who will receive plenty of support from the likes of juniors Quinton Mincey, Olumide Lewis, and talented freshman Willie Rivera Jr. Gaithersburg is propelled by what could be one of the state’s best duos in Jao Ituka and Jordan Hawkins. Richard Dudley returns for Paint Branch, and he is one of the most exciting guards to watch, but the Panthers also have Jordan Alphonso, who will anchor the paint. Richard Montgomery has one of the area’s most improved bigs in Miles Gally, a versatile front-court partner in Djordje Orcev, and a developing guard with talent in Ryan Cornish, who could make a significant impact this season.
