Julian Walker (2019): An Interview
There are some basketball players in Michigan that we should get to know as the season begins. Julian Walker, from Detroit Henry Ford, is one of those players. The senior guard is very athletic and a prospect that is full of potential. We caught up with Walker to talk about his game, the coming season, and more.
Question:
What is the biggest strength of your game?
Julian Walker:
I feel my biggest strength is posting smaller guards.
Question:
How have you been preparing for this season?
Julian Walker:
This season I feel I’m at my best. I have put in more work than I ever have, like running miles by myself, getting in the gym at least 7 times a week by myself, and working on things that can make me a better player in college.
Question:
What goals do you have for this season?
Julian Walker:
My goals for this season are to prepare myself the best way I can for college and win a state championship.
Question:
Is there a game on your teams schedule that you are looking forward to?
Julian Walker:
Every game on the schedule I’m looking forward to because I feel my team is underestimated. I know we are finna shock the world.
Question:
What is your best basketball memory so far?
Julian Walker:
So far my best basketball memory is when I played AAU for UTS Elite and we were playing in Grand Rapids and I caught my first body.
Question:
Who is the toughest player you’ve ever matched up with?
Julian Walker:
The toughest person that I matched up with has to be Anthony Roberts.
Question:
What aspect of your game would you tell a college coach to watch?
Julian Walker:
My athleticism and the way I can guard on ball.
Question:
What is your favorite subject at school and why?
Julian Walker:
My favorite subject in school is math. The reason why is because your always using math in some way.
