Jack Britt vs EE Smith Scrimmage
EE Smith and Jack Britt met up for a scrimmage on Saturday afternoon on the campus of the Golden Bulls. We saw some strengths and weaknesses from both teams but most importantly, we saw some prospects so lets take a look at some of the prospects from both squads.
EE Smith 2019 Guard Chris Jordan: Knows how to score the ball, knocked down some shots from midrange and deep. We saw some of this during the summer and its nice to see it transition into the high school season, he should be a player that is a double figure scoring guy each night.
EE Smith 2020 Forward Jaylen Siermons: We didn’t get to see him for a ton of time due to the fact that he suffered a few minor injuries but he showed some flashes. He runs the floor well, rebounds and blocks shots, had a solid showing overall.
EE Smith 2021 Guard Anthony Geddie Jr,: One of the smallest players on the court, he plays the game with speed and heart. He can knock down the outside shot with a nice efficiency and does a good job of getting into the gaps of the defense.
Jack Britt 2019 Forward Calvin Washington: The best player on the floor without a doubt, Calvin has an advanced skillset and should see some early success at Mount Olive. He has nice size for a guard/wing at 6’5, is athletic, can score from multiple positions and is a very coachable player.
Jack Britt 2019 Guard Brandon Hayden: The smooth lefty will be a player that can help the squad in a nice way, he has the ability to run a team as well as scoring the ball. We also saw some flashes of how good of a defender he could be, he has long arms that helps him play the passing lanes well.
Jack Britt 2019 Guard TJ Ellis: We like what he can bring to the team, he plays the game on his toes and gives effort on both ends of the floor. He gets good lift on his shot, so his ability to shoot over taller players is not much of an issue. When he’s playing the game at his own pace and makes good decisions, the makes himself a college prospect for sure.
