Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class: #41-#45
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. What if you took those classes and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like! This is our Illinois Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class!
Today we unveil prospects #41 – #45!
#41 Keshawn Williams (Bloom – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Williams is a thin and wiry two guard that can put the ball in the bucket. Sound perimeter shooter that can hit from three if given space. He is a plus shooter off the catch. His athleticism plays well in the open floor with his speed pushing and finishing. Regularly goes coast to coast. Defensively has a chance to be an impact player down the line in college.
#42 Ray’Sean Taylor (Collinsville – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Taylor is a sleeper point guard from the St. Louis metro east that broke out in a major way with his play during the spring and summer with Gateway Illinois. This kid is an absolute scoring machine! Ability to win one on one off the dribble getting in the lane where he finishes well at the rim. Also has a nice looking jumper that he can hit both pulling up and from three. Crisp passer that has some creativity dishing to teammates.
#43 Ciaran Brayboy (New Trier – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #20
This Harvard commitment is one of the bigger and stronger five men in the state. The New Trier senior center is a defensive presence anchoring down low, blocking shots, and rebounding inside his area. Offensively he has improved, but is mainly a defensive force at this stage.
#44 Joseph Yesufu (Bolingbrook – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #29
Yesufu is a smaller point guard that has strength in a compact build. The Drake commit has so much speed and he gets to the rim with ease. His combination of strength and athleticism allow him to maneuver his body where he can finish difficult layups at a high rate.
#45 Perry Cowan (DePaul Prep – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #13
Cowan is a smooth two guard who will be headed off to Brown next fall. The wing has been the go to scorer for DePaul Prep since he stepped foot in high school as a freshman. Heading into his senior year he is primed to have a big final high school season with his leadership skills and scoring ability.
