What better way is there to end the work week than to drop in and see some good basketball? Well let’s take a look at some of the games that will be going on Friday in the state of North Carolina.

Fayetteville Academy vs Village: This game features over 8 college prospects and should be a game that is very competitive. The matchup of the night will be between Guards John Michael Wright & Travion McCray as well as the big man battle between Emmanuel Izuanbor & Derrick Quansah.

Gaston Day vs Freedom Christian: Gaston Day comes into this matchup with a 3-0 record with some dominating wins and a good win over York Prep. Freedom comes into this matchup after a recent win over New Life and will look to get a big time win that will only work in their favor for the NCISAA 2A rankings. The X factor could very well be Junior Guard Ambaka Le Gregam, who is in his first year with the program but has already put up big time numbers.

Fayetteville Christian vs Carmel Christian: Carmel is one of the top teams in the state and features App State Signee Donovan Gregory. While FCS doesn’t necessarily have D1 prospects at this point, they play the game in an aggressive manner and will need a major game from 2020 Forward Jaden Scriven.

Jack Britt vs Southern Lee: The Bucs wills make the trip over to Southern Lee for what should be a good game. Britt features Calvin Washington who has already made people on social media say wow with a poster dunk. While Southern Lee features 2022 Guard Jamori Mcdougald and 2019 Guard Khalil Ridges who both can fill up a stat sheet.

New Hanover vs Northside (Jax): In the past, this matchup has had plenty of fireworks. Both teams have lost a ton of players due to graduation so both are somewhat in rebuild mode. This will be a great opportunity for some new talent to show up and show out. New Hanover is coming off a loss vs Costal Christian while Northside won their first game in a matchup with East Carteret.

Cape Fear vs Overhills: Cape Fear is looking to find its way as they lost their first game to a talented Terry Sanford HS team. Overhills on the other hand is off to a quick start at 3-0 and looking to keep the winning streak alive tonight. 2020 Guard Marquell James went absolutely insane in the first game of the year with 44 points so it will be interesting to see how much he can give his squad in this game.

EE Smith vs Grays Creek: Grays Creek is coming off a tough lost against a talented Hoke County team in overtime, while EE Smith comes into this game look for their first win of the season. Grays Creek is the more experienced squad but EE Smith has a nice mixture of young and old talent.
