Flight 22 Jamboree: Names To Know
Fayetteville Academy 2019 Forward Williams Onyeodi: Physical player that D2 programs have been showing some interest in. He rebounds it at a nice rate, can play through contact offensively and is now showing the ability to knock down the trey ball with more efficiency.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Wing Amari Pearson: You have to love the motor that he plays with, he’s one of those players that’s going to bring energy and enthusiasm every time he’s on the court. His game is still being rounded out but he can play multiple positions due to the fact that he is very athletic and willing to listen and learn.
Topsail HS 2020 Guard Jamison Long: Has a nice natural feel for the game, he is a player who passes the ‘‘eye test’’ once you see him make a few moves on the court. He can knock down shots off the dribble as well as off the catch, also we saw some solid ball handling skills from him when he was breaking down his defender.
Laney HS 2020 Forward Demarcus McLaurin: He didn’t have his best day but we like his potential and what he brings to the team. He’s a player that is not scared to play inside the paint and bang with other bigs which is something that we don’t see very often these days.
Trinity Christian 2019 Guard KJ Marshall: The time he has put in on his game in the off season is showing and he’s on course to have a big season. He knocked down shots, got in the paint and finished in traffic throughout the day. On the defensive end of the court he was constantly applying pressure and forcing opponents into turnovers or bad shots.
Laney HS 2019 Guard Cameron Sidbury: Very nice showing for this young man, he provided some much needed scoring and leadership from the guard spot. One of the top plays of the event came from him as he launched a shot from halfcourt at the buzzer that dropped in.
