Flight 22 Jamboree: Final Notes
Pine Forest 2019 Wing Erwin Montgomery: One of the top performers on his team during this event, this was one of our first times getting a really close look at him. He has a long wingspan to go along with his height, which allowed him to block some shots and finish above the rim. On the defensive end of the floor, he showed some potential with how good he can possibly be, he has decent lateral quickness and more importantly, a desire to defend.
Trinity Christian 2020 Forward Todd Burtt: He will be a player that Trinity needs to have a big time season if they hope to repeat as champs. Burtt is a stretch forward type of player, he can shoot the deep ball as well as taking defenders off the dribble. High Point University has already offered and he has interest from numerous other Division 1 programs.
Trinity Christian 2021 Forward Robert Wright: Another new member of the TCS squad, Wright has plenty of potential but is already a solid player. He plays the game in a physical manner, mostly below the rim but also showed he can make plays above the rim.
South Brunswick HS 2019 Forward Jace McKinney: We all have seen the high flying dunks, above the rim blocks and so forth with Jace over the years. Well during this event we saw some more fundamentally sound things that he can do on the court. He knocked down the three point shot at a high level, showed some improved ball handling skills, as well as making some good reads and passes.
Grays Creek HS 2019 Forward Antonio Dupree: Dupree is a player that we have become more and more impressed with as time has gone on. He has a nice skillset and does a good job of playing within the flow of the team offense. You can play him on the wing at the college level but in high school he plays both Forward spots due to his height at 6’4 and his athletic ability.
