Flight 22 Jamboree: C/O 2019 Standouts
South View HS 2019 Guard Kevin Garcia: Has a natural feel for the game, he can knock down the outside shot but also has the ability to beat his man off the dribble. Over the years he has been known as a player that is a three point specialist but now he seems to be developing into a complete player overall. For South View to be successful this season, they will need a big time year from Garcia.
Douglas Byrd HS 2019 Guard Alijah Miles: Had a nice a showing for the Eagles as they started a new chapter with a new coach. They play the game in an up-tempo type of manner which only benefited Alijah as he was able to convert steals into quick and easy buckets in transition.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 Guard John Michael Wright: Look for him to put up some big time numbers this season for FA and turn some more heads of college coaches. He’s quick, crafty, and a player that can score a bunch of points in a short amount of time. Arkansas State is one program that has offered and is showing heavy interest so far.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 F/C Emmanuel Izunabor: The amount of upside he has is very intriguing but you already have to be impressed with how much he has improved in the few years that he has been here. He dunks just about everything in the paint but also has the touch to finish the jump hook and short corner jump shots. On the defensive end of the court, he blocks shots at a very high rate and is doing a much better job of defending without fouling.
Pine Forest 2019 Forward Miles Ray: After a brief stint at Freedom Christian, he has returned to Pine Forest and will look to do damage in his senior season. He’s strong, athletic, and has plenty of the tools that you like to see from a player on the wing. His athleticism was on full display as he threw down some highlight type dunks.
Trinity Christian 2019 Forward Greg Gantt: He’s in the discussion as one of the top players in the state without a doubt. The Providence Commit does his thing every time he steps on the floor, he plays with high intensity, and does a bit of everything that his team needs from him. Look for him to have a big time season this year as he attempts to lead Trinity back to a NCISAA 1A chip.
