Chesnee HS vs JL Mann (Greenville)   5:00 P.M.

Desmond Tate is back for the Chesnee HS Eagles this season. Tate (2019) is averaging 30 ppg after just 2 games for the Eagles. Tate averaged 20.1 ppg and 10.5 rebounds last season.

Cooper Fowler (2019) is the man in the middle for the Patriots. Fowler will have some help up front with Isaiah Pizarro.

Laurens HS vs Woodruff HS   6:30 P.M.

Honestly I can’t really tell you much about these teams since I saw Laurens HS play once last year and Woodruff HS I didn’t see play.

Myles Tate

Dorman HS vs High Point Academy (Spartanburg)   8:00 P.M.

The Cavaliers lost their season opener earlier in the week to Charlotte Christian. The Cavaliers the defending back to back Class 5A State Champions played without the services of P.J. Hall (2020) #1 player in the Palmetto State Rankings. Myles Tate ranked #2 player in the Palmetto State behind Hall will have to pickup the slack early on this season. Ta’Lon Cooper a Morehead State University signee and Kamal Desor fresh off a football season with the Cavaliers.

High Point Academy plays in the Class 1A ranks in the Palmetto State. The fairly new charter school has a talented group back for Head Coach Marcus Watts. The Grizzlies are current (2-2) on the young season with losses to Traveler’s Rest HS and Blacksburg HS. Jayden Byrd (2020) has been a fixture here since we first saw him play as 9th grader for the Grizzlies.

Joshua Moore

Byrnes HS vs High Point Academy (Spartanburg)   5:00 P.M.

Joshua Moore (2019) will look to lead the Bulldogs against the upset minded Grizzlies.

Landrum HS vs Spartanburg HS   6:30 P.M.

Trey Smith scored 43 points in his season opener for the Cardinals. Smith a Delta State (MS) (NCAA D2) signee has scored 2,076 career points.

Sean Jenkins

Sean Jenkins is back to lead the Spartanburg HS Vikings. Jenkins (2019) a SCBCA top player originally hails from Ireland.

Nic Williams

Greenville Tech vs Dorman HS   8:00 P.M.

Greenville Tech is a last minute replacement since Greer HS is still playing in the football playoffs. The Warriors a Class 2A school have plenty of talent in Jalen Breazeale, Nic Williams, Da’Kari Worthy and James Cooper on the roster.
