1. Sierra Canyon (4-0)
Comment: The Trailblazers have gone untested through their first four games of the season, winning by an average of 52.8 points per game. Sierra Canyon hasn’t scored less than 86 points so far this season and hasn’t allowed an opponent to score more than 58. The Trailblazers don’t play again until Nov. 29 vs. Granada Hills.
2. Rancho Christian (0-0)
Comment: The Eagles open Tuesday night against Rialto Eisenhower at the BattleZone hosted by Corona Centennial.
3. St. John Bosco (4-0)
Comment: The Braves rolled through the El Monte tournament last week scoring 30-point wins over St. Paul, L.A. University, L.A. Cathedral and Fremont en route to a tournament title. The Braves will play a nonleague game against St. Anthony Wednesday in Long Beach.
4. Fairfax (4-0)
Comment: Ethan Anderson’s MVP effort led the Lions to the Pac Shores title in the opening week. Fairfax opens the Rose City tournament at Maranatha Monday against Sylmar.
5. Bishop Montgomery (3-1)
Comment: The Knights’ only loss of the season came to Fairfax in the Pac Shores title game. Bishop was without injured starter Gianni Hunt, an Oregon State-commit, due to an ankle/foot injury and lost starting forward Nick Schrader to a knee injury in the first half. The Knights open the Trevor Ariza Tipoff Classic Monday against West Torrance.
6. Westchester (0-0)
Comment: The Comets begin their season Tuesday night against Cleveland in the Trevor Ariza Tipoff Classic.
7. Mater Dei (3-0)
Comment: The Monarchs rolled through their first three nonleague games against El Toro, Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara San Marcos. Mater Dei will face its first test of the year Saturday against Chicago Whitney Young at the Chicago Elite Classic.
8. Mission Bay (0-0)
Comment: San Diego’s best team is led by San Diego’s best player in senior Duke-commit Boogie Ellis. The Bucs open their season Monday night against Rancho Verde at the BattleZone.
9. Etiwanda (5-0)
Comment: Coach Dave Kleckner plays things close to the vest in the fall, but the Eagles have a wealth of young, talented players that have them off to a perfect start. Etiwanda is one of the feature teams in the BattleZone this week.
10. Corona Centennial (2-0)
Comment: The Huskies have two solid nonleague wins over Riverside Notre Dame and Anaheim Canyon. Centennial’s big early season tests will come this week in the BattleZone tournament.
11. Santa Margarita (5-1)
Comment: The Eagles only loss of the season came to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in the second game of the season. Saturday’s win over Modesto Christian was a big boost for SM.
12. Washington Prep (3-1)
Comment: The Generals only loss this season came at the hands of No. 5 Bishop Montgomery. Washington Prep is in action at the Trevor Ariza Tipoff Classic this week.
13. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (6-2)
Comment: Ziaire Williams and Julian Rishwain have paced the Knights’ early season success as they’re only losses of the season came to No. 4 Fairfax and No. 11 Washington Prep. Notre Dame won the West Valley Tip-Off Classic last week with a 70-65 win over Chaminade.
14. Camarillo (3-0)
Comment: Jaime Jaquez led the Scorpions to the Opening Weekend at Alemany tournament title with a 94-86 overtime win over Damien.
15. Damien (2-1)
Comment: The Spartans’ only loss of the season was to No. 14 Camarillo in the Alemany tournament championship game.
16. Riverside Notre Dame (0-1)
Comment: The Titans fell to No. 10 Corona Centennial in its only game of the season thus far. RND is in the Trevor Ariza Tipoff Classic this week at Westchester.
17. Riverside Poly (0-0)
Comment: The Bears open their season this week at the Rose City Classic at Maranatha.
18. Long Beach Poly (0-0)
Comment: The Jackrabbits begin their season this week at the Trevor Ariza Tipoff Classic.
19. Rancho Verde (4-1)
Comment: The Mustangs played their first five games without point guard and football star Jaxen Turner, losing only once to No. 9 Etiwanda. Turner will be back just in time for the BattleZone.
20. Harvard-Westlake (2-2)
Comment: The Wolverines split their four games at Pac Shores, but were without starters Johnny Juzang and Mason Hooks for that event.
