Cowtown Tip-Off Recaps: Best Shooters
Alec Grandstaff / 6’1″/ SG / Rockwall / 2019
Alec was simply unconscious from very deep range. He shot the Yellow Jackets back into the game vs. Little Elm after being down by double digits. Alec is a catch and shoot microwave. He has a quick trigger and is very accurate from long range when his feet are set. Even when the defense closed out properly, he still cashed in on long balls. Alec is used to playing on the big stage after a full summer of being the designated spot up sniper for Drive Nation EYBL. He connected on seven of nine attempts from long range and finished with a game high 29 points in the close win.
Tyler McGhie / 6’5″/ SG / Denton Guyer / 2020
Tyler simply shot the Wildcats into a twenty point victory against the Lancaster Tigers. The big stage is nothing new to the Guyer’s starting shooting guard. He knows his role within a team and had plenty of great shooting performances with the Texas Titans on the 16U EYBL Circuit. He converted on multiple open opportunities from long distance. Tyler knocked down five trey balls and finished the game with 23 points
Luis Rodriguez / 5’7″/ SG / The Colony / 2019
The sharpshooter looks to have had a great performance vs Crowley in the first game of the Cowtown Tip-Off. He led the way for The Colony with 20 points off of five made three-pointers. He is small guard who brings a lot of energy to the game when he heats up from deep. A solid performance for the unsigned senior guard.
