Pre-Season Player of the Year
Javonne Lowery will be a tough assignment all season long. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette commit looks to have a big senior season. Last year he averaged 15 points per game, 6 rebounds a game, and helped his team to a 22-13 record.
Team to Beat
Alief Taylor is coming off of a big year last season. The Lions went 24-12 (8-4) and made it to the Regional Finals. They return three players who made contributions to last years success. They are the favorite to win the district and will be pumped from last season.
Biggest Threat
George Ranch has looked really well in the pre-season games. They look to knock off Taylor as the favorite team and make a statement. They have one of the toughest points in the Houston area in senior Noah Thomasson who has some D2 offers.
Sleeper
Pearland Oilers are the team to watch out for. Seniors Javonne and Robert look to take charge and capitalize off of last seasons run. They will be a team to watch out for this season in district play.
