Bralin Toney (2019): An Interview
Bralin Toney is one of the fastest rising prospects in the class of 2019. He has been essential to the success of the River Rouge basketball team and has the skill set of a future college player. Toney is a high level point guard and floor leader. He has earned the nickname “The General” for the way he leads the River Rouge squad. The nickname is well deserved, as he is a leader both on the court, and in the classroom. We caught up with Bralin Toney to talk about his game, this season, and more.
Question:
What is the biggest strength in your game?
Bralin Toney:
My biggest strength is my ability to lead and get our whole team involved.
Question:
What goals does your River Rouge team have this year?
Bralin Toney:
Our goals include growing stronger as a team and staying #1 in the state.
Question:
What are your personal goals for this season?
Bralin Toney:
My personal goals are to go to college, break the assist record here at Rouge, and to make All-State.
Question:
How have you been preparing for this season?
Bralin Toney:
I’ve been preparing physically and mentally and studying film for my position.
Question:
There is a lot of talent on River Rouge this year. How do you guys keep your team first mentality?
Bralin Toney:
Their is no “I” in ROUGE. We work together and help build each other up towards our one goal.

What would you bring to a program at the next level?
Bralin Toney:
I bring a coachable PG with great skills. I am a team player with great work ethic.
Question:
Who is the toughest player you’ve ever had to match up against?
Bralin Toney:
The toughest player I’ve matched up with had to be my Aau teammate Z or his real name Isaiah Lewis.
Question:
What is your favorite subject in school and why?
Bralin Toney:
Favorite subject is math because just always been good with numbers.
