The South Atlantic is a hotbed for basketball recruits. Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina have several players that programs could bolster their program with this spring.
One. Vernon Carey of Florida. On Wednesday the five star top 3-4 consensus level recruit produced a final three schools of Duke, North Carolina, and Michigan State. Duke has a pair of top 40 guards and is now looking for size up front. North Carolina wants to pair Carey with Armando Bacot and Tom Izzo already has two top 40 players and is looking for a huge third in Vernon Carey Jr.
Two. Christian Brown of South Carolina. A 6-foot-7 wing at Oak Hill that has been showing up on constant highlights throughout this first month of play. Brown is a top 40 level national competitor looking at programs like Georgia, Clemson, and Florida among others.
Three. Harlond Beverly of Florida. Beverly is a Michigan product now at Montverde Academy in Florida. The 4-star top 100 level shooting guard recently picked up an offer from Georgia. The Dawgs join Indiana, Texas, Baylor, Seton Hall, Providence, and others in the wide open pursuit of Beverly.
Four. Dericko Williams of North Carolina. Dericko is a 6-foot-8 power forward from the Winston-Salem area who is coming off a visit to Virginia. Williams is definitely one of the players shooting up the lists as he has offers from Arkansas, Houston, Washington, and others.
Five. Jalyn McCreary of South Carolina. A 6-foot-6 small forward with a high work rate an intelligent game that results in double-doubles as well as standout defensive efforts. McCreary is ranked 174th in the country with schools like Arkansas, USF, Charlotte, and others in pursuit.
Six. Damari Monsanto of Florida. Monsanto is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from American Heritage High in Florida with offers from New Mexico, St. Bonaventure, Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast, and others. Monsanto is ranked 209th in the Prep Hoops Top 500.
Seven. Deuce Dean of South Carolina. Dean is a 6-foot-4 point guard who was seen earlier this week scoring 27 points with 11 rebounds, five steals, & three assists for York Prep. Offers include Charlotte, Colorado State, Southern Miss, and more. Sounds like some bigger programs may start to call as well.
Eight. Issa Muhammad of Georgia. A 6-foot-9 215 pound frontcourt player earned himself four high major offers but the 262nd ranked prospect in the nation remains open. Issa has good length to go with agility and a quick floor run.
Nine. Kenny Isnord of Florida. Isnord is originally from the Bahamas and ranked out as a top 300 prospect in the senior class. Kenny is a 6-foot-7 power forward with offers from VCU, Florida International, Western Kentucky, St. Bonaventure, FGCU, and others.
Ten. Trae Broadnax of Florida. A 6-foot-3 guard originally from Georgia and now at Monteverde Academy, Broadnax has the potential to be a top 125-150 level player in the country. Picked up ten D1 offers during the spring and summer.
