PrepHoopsTennessee takes a look at the best available prospects at each position heading into the season here! Here are the Best Available 2019 Shooting Guards!
Kameron Jones (Southwind)
Overall Ranking: #13
Projected Level: MM
The Southwind star (pictured above) might be a forward or a wing in college. He gets off the floor quickly and suffered from a lack of playing time this summer. Look for Jones to dominate without Mark Freeman around to score for Southwind.
Willie Wilson (Ridgeway)
Overall Ranking: #18
Projected Level: LM/MM
Marvelously mobile combo forward, Wilson has the 6-foot-6 frame of a high major prospect. Holding him back is average skill development. Can blossom with more training time.
Sky Forrest (Lausanne Collegiate)
Overall Ranking: #20
Projected Level: LM
Football player that started last season with state-qualifying team. Full analysis on Sky’s game here.
Dionte Ware (Cleveland)
Overall Ranking: #24
Projected Level: LM/LM-
Severely limited in July with ankle injury. Lacked explosion which hampered his recruitment. Healthy now for a strong, strong Cleveland High team.
Alec Kegler (Clarksville Northeast)
Overall Ranking: #26
Projected Level: D2
Currently injured power wing. Kegler made Class AAA All-Tournament Team. Not the best AAU season on EAB 17u.
Jamari Bostic (Ripley)
Overall Ranking: #28
Projected Level: D2
Wonderfully aggressive on the glass. Plays 4/5 in high school, but looks like an elite wing defender in the Justise Winslow (Miami Heat) mold.
Ronald “Tre” Davis III (Fulton)
Overall Ranking: #29
Projected Level: D2+/LM
Very quick with good height. Davis III can do anything offensively in high school. He should be committed to a DI team by April.
Bruce Guy (Cordova)
Overall Ranking: #30
Projected Level: LM-/D2
Tricked by Iona into verbally committing, then not signing. Bruce said he will reclass to 2020, but I expect him to be open to 2019 options and vacating that Iona verbal commit very soon.
