7 Early Week Standout Stat Getters
South Central HS 2020 Forward Dayron Sharpe scored 24 points in a win for his team over Greene Central. The UNC Commit has gotten better each year and has a chance to be really special as long as he continues to work. Rebounding, Shot blocking and running the floor are all things that he does well, a lot to like about this youngster.
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard Josh Nickleberry continues his stellar play, dropping 30 Points and grabbing 12 Rebounds against United Faith in a win. The 6’5 Guard has started the season out on fire and will need to keep up this pace of play if the Eagles want to have a successful season. With his recruitment already completed, he has the luxury of focusing in on the season and nothing else.
New Life Christian Academy 2020 Forward Reggie Raynor finished with 21 points in a loss to Freedom Christian. Raynor is a player who has turned some heads over the last 6 months-year and will be a nice prospect as long as he continues to work.
Cape Fear Christian 2019 Guard EJ Bethea kept up his stellar play with 23 points in a win over Grace Christian. Bethea has played well to start the season and is one that could play his way into picking up more recruitment if he keeps on playing well.
Athens Drive HS 2019 Guard DJ Robertson went for 27 Points in a win last night, which brings his average to 26 PPG in their first two games. This is not much of a surprise for us as we have seen DJ do damage on numerous levels over the past few years.
71st HS 2019 Wing Tre Bell scored 20 points for his squad in a win over Marlboro High School. Bell is a player that has improved tremendously and has a chance to play his way into more recruitment. Athletic ability, height and a long wingspan are all things that make him an intriguing prospect.
Pender HS 2021 Guard Khalil Marshall finished with 27 points in a win over James Kenan. Marshall is a player that made some noise last season and turned the heads of media with his performance at the Fab 40 Camp in March. He has the potential to be a very special player as long as he remains focused and stays locked in.
Lejeune HS 2020 Guard Malachi Borders went for 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assist in a win early this week. He is a dual threat Guard that can play on the ball at PG by making plays for others or off the ball at the SG spot with his ability to knock down treys.
Greene Central 2019 Forwards Imajae Dodd & Jekael Gay both put together nice performances even though their team came up short. Gay finished with 17 points on the night while Dodd finished with 20 points in a loss to South Central.
