5 Players Ready to Make a College Impact: 2021
Making the jump from high school ball to college can be a big transition for most players. Here are the players, from the Class of 2021, that I think will have an immediate college impact.
DaRon Holmes (Millennium 2021):
Holmes is the best prospect in the class of 2021, in my opinion. He has the length and height necessary to be successful in the college game. If Holmes could bulk up and add some muscle, he would have a very college ready body. The thing I love about Holmes is his sky high potential. While he played in the post and elbow on his AAU team, he showed flashes of being able to play the wing position. I actually think that is his natural position and would find most success in college playing wing.
JT Elder (Cienega 2021):
He has one of the most college ready bodies and skills in the entire state. He stands at 6’8, plays wing, has great handles, and scoring ability. Elder will only continue to grow physically, athletically, and technically. He will have an immediate impact whenever he goes to college.
Matur Dhal (Paradise Honors 2021):
I think Dhal will develop nicely throughout his high school career. I believe he is still very raw but has huge upside. If he manages to develop like most think he should, he will be a very nice addition to any college roster.
Paris Woods (Apollo 2021):
Woods has a very nice guard skill set. I love his attacking ability and his length. He has great size and reminds me a lot of Lonzo/LaMelo Ball, not just because of his hair. He has a decent deep ball but his true potential comes from being able to run an offense effectively while also being able to take it to the basket and get his own points.
Dimitrios Stragilinos (Hillcrest Prep 2021):
He is a very smart and patient guard and that will always find success in the college game. It is very impressive how well he is able to control the flow of the game since he is so young. His knowledge and feel for the game will only continue to grow as he continues through his high school career.
