Kobe Bufkin (Grand Rapids Christian)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #6
Bufkin is a smooth lefty. He can create his own looks at the basket when needed, but is patient enough to find them in the flow of an offense. Bufkin is a good passer who can run the show in transition and a half court set.
Simon Wheeler (Ferndale)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #9
Wheeler is a shifty ball handler who has defenders heads spinning. He draws defenders on the drive which opens the floor for his teammates. Wheeler has excellent body control when finishing at the rim.
Ethan Emerzian (Rochester Adams)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #10
Emerzian is the definition of a floor general. He plays a disciplined game, showing an instinct to make the right basketball play. Emerzian is a solid shooter from deep and has an outstanding basketball IQ.
Tyson Davis (Goodrich)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #14
Davis is possibly the best pure athlete in the 2021 class. He’s a tough and strong kid who plays basketball that way. Davis plays with his head on a swivel, always aware of his teammates.
Mikkos Stewart (Brother Rice)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #17
Stewart is an old fashioned gamer. He has a quick first step that puts defenders on their heels. Stewart can draw defenders and play through contact. He’s an underrated defender as well.
Keon Henderson (Detroit Renaissance)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #18
Henderson is a hustle player who will never be out grinded. He’s the type of athlete that doesn’t waste 1 minute of practice time. Henderson isn’t afraid of the big stage either. He has a dangerous mid range jumper and can get to the lane at will.
Marcus Wourman (East Lansing)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #19
Wourman is a tough kid who plays like he’s proving himself every time he hits the floor. He’s a good defender with quick feet. Wourman is willing to do whatever it takes and play any role, if it means that his team wins.
Chris Cayton (Ann Arbor Skyline)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #20
Cayton is a well rounded player with a much improved jumper. He has been groomed by a stable of great perimeter players at Ann Arbor Skyline. Cayton is ready to take the point guard reigns and be a star himself.
Keyon Menifield (Flint Beecher)
Menifield plays the point guard position with flash and flare. He’s almost unstoppable when attacking the bucket and can make the tough pass look easy. Menifield is an old school Flint style player who just knows he’s going to get the W.
