2019 Top Performers – Farm Bureau Insurance Tip-Off Day 2
Farm Bureau Insurance Tip-Off 2019 Top Performers from Day 2. The event being played on the campus of Dorman HS was a great success for Head Coach Thomas Ryan and his staff.
Ta’Lon Cooper – Dorman HS (Roebuck) (pictured on front)
Cooper is back home in Spartanburg after playing his junior season at Word of God (NC). Cooper signed in the fall with Morehead State University in the Ohio Valley Conference for next season. Cooper is a versatile player on the floor and finished with 19 points in a win over Greenville Tech tonight.
Kamal Desor – Dorman HS (Roebuck)
Desor played football this fall for the Cavaliers. Desor was very active around the rim and glass tonight with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Desor came back to Dorman HS this season after playing his past 2 seasons at nearby Boiling Springs HS.
Trey Smith – Landrum HS
Smith scored 29 points in a loss tonight vs Spartanburg HS. Smith a left-handed guard will take his game to Delta State (MS) (NCAA D2) next fall to play for Head Coach Jim Boone. Smith can really stroke the ball and tonight showed some precise passing but at times his teammates weren’t able to produce. Smith has now scored 2,104 career points.
Sean Jenkins – Spartanburg HS
Jenkins is a physically gifted guard in his second season with the Vikings. Jenkins originally from Ireland has good size and body control on the floor. Jenkins a bit of a streaky shooter made some precise passes this evening.
Joshua Moore – Byrnes HS (Duncan)
Moore is built like a tank on the basketball floor. Moore plays a bit of a old school game you would find at the local college around noon time with the professors. Moore left-handed beast really finishes well on contact and made some unreal passes around the floor. Moore thrives on contact and rebounds the ball really well from the guard spot.
