2018 OTR Hoops Showcase All 3rd Team
Norcross, Georgia – The 2018 On the Radar Hoops Showcase hosted by Shun Williams tipped off this past Saturday and what an amazing turn out it was. Some of Georgia’s best programs and best players met for one day of all day good hoops. Below you will find which players made the all third team showcase list.
2019 PG Jaire Eastmond – Wheeler High School
After starring in last week’s Georgia Elite 8 Tip Off Classic, Denver commit Roscoe Jaire Eastmond showed out once again at Saturday’s showcase and against one the top programs nationally in Norcross High School. Eastmond led his Wheeler High School squad to an upset victory in an hostile enviroment. The 5-foot-9 senior finished the game with 15 points. Roscoe is such a fluid floor leader and has a high IQ for the game. He is a smart playmaker and is one of the best on ball defenders you will see, especailly for a kid his size.
2020 G Braxton Beaty – Lambert High School
Braxton Beaty is the third Lamber player to make the OTR Hoops Showcase all team list. Braxton is a high energy combo guard who plays hard on both ends of the floor. He is a slim guard who was able to attack the lane whenever he wanted too in their matchup with Woodward Academy. The junior guard was also good on the defensive end with his on ball defense. He was engaged all game and is tough guard who is able to set the tone. Braxton finished with 15 points on Saturday.
2020 G Patrick Carter Jr. – Langston Hughes High School
Without question, Patrick Carter Jr. is the key and focus this year for the defending back-to-back GHSA class 6A state champions. It took awhile for Carter Jr. to get his legs under him and get going offensively on Saturday, but once he got going he was able to do what he does best. Patrick is a nice perimeter scorer who will get most of his points from the wings. He has a great release on his jumper as it showed Saturday by hitting a couple three pointers. At times he was able to get inside the opponents defense and knock down a couple floaters.
2021 W Jamal Clyce – Pebblebrook High School
If we had an all passionate team for this showcase, no doubt Jamal Clyce would have been on that first team. After a decent freshman season on a outstanding Pebblebrook team, sophomore wing Jamal Clyce will be playing a much bigger role this season for the Falcons. The 6-foot-5 wing plays with a big chip on his shoulder and is just so competitve during every game. Besides his toughness, Jamal displays great size and is a solid mid range jump shooter. He is a physical defender and is not afraid to play down low with the big boys. Clyce finished with 15 points in Pebblebrook’s win over Cedar Shoals.
2019 W Kendall Lewis – Shiloh High School
After Saturday’s performance, available senior wing Kendall Lewis deserves some attention. Alongside his teammate Toneari Lane, Lewis scored 19 points to lead Shiloh to win over Langston Hughes. Kendall has great size for the two or three position. His holds long arms and is strong once he gets around the rim. He was also able to show us his range and jumper on Saturday and it was very impressive to say the least. Lewis should be receiving or expressing interest as the season goes along.
