Under The Radar Seniors To Watch!
Smithfield Selma Guard Anthony Council: Throughout his junior season, he put together some nice performances and showed that he is a player that can play on the next level. He averaged over 15 Points, 3 Rebs and 3 Assist last season and we expect him to be close to a 20 PPG guy this year. His ability to score the ball in multiple ways as well as using his speed and quickness are things that we like about him and that we feel will translate to the next level.
Word of God Christian Guard Tim Pettiford: Recently transferring to WOG, Tim is a player that we got to see during the high school season as well as the summer during multiple camps. He defends at a high level and is efficient on the offensive end of the floor, you won’t see him forcing things or taking a bunch of bad shots.
Word of God Christian Forward Trevon Spencer: His height and wingspan catches attention just about as soon as you watch him play. He does a nice job of running the floor, finishing and defending above the rim, and playing within the flow of the team offensive. You won’t see or hear him say too much but one thing is for sure, he is going to be a player that is productive for your squad.
Hillside HS Guard Traylen Warren: We got the chance to get a close look at him during the 4 Quarters Camp this summer at Southern Durham HS. He has very impressive athletic ability, plays strong, and is a player that has the potential to be a force on both sides of the ball.
Pine Forest HS Guard Adrian Elliot:The scoring guard for Pine Forest will have a chance to be one of the leaders on this team after a solid season last year. We have seen him score the ball at a pretty nice level over the last year and if he continues to play at a high level, he should see his interest from colleges pick up.
Hoke County Guard Eli Harris:His role last year will certainly be different than this season as he will be looked upon to be one of the main parts of the Hoke County offense. He can shoot the deep ball well and has put in a good amount of time on his game which has led him to be a good defender and a solid ball handler. Don’t be surprised to see him have a breakout season this year, if he does the Bucs will benefit and could have a solid backcourt with he and Jaquantae Harris.
