The Prep Hoops Report: B.O.S.S. Fall League Recap 2
Dallas Hobbs / 5’9″ / PG / Mansfield Lake Ridge / 2022
Hobbs is a 2022 point guard, who has a tight handle and can knock down jumpers when open. Hobbs played under control all game for the Lake Ridge Eagles and although he is only a freshman, he showed that he can create for his teammates and is a pest on the defensive end.
C.J. Smith / 5’9″ / PG / Mansfield Timberview / 2019
Smith did a great job of running the show for Timberview versus South Oak Cliff. Cj used his nifty handles to break down defenders for scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. This skilled diminutive point guard has tons of weapons around him to facilitate to.
Jalen Roberts / 6’2″ / SG /Lancaster/2019
Roberts is a 6ft.2 athletic Combo Guard that showed some of his skill set from the wing. Roberts had a tough chase down block on a defender and later on in the same game hammered in a putback dunk. Lancaster is loaded with guards this year and Jalen looks like he’s in the direction to have a big season for the 5A Tigers.
Wade Taylor / 5’10” / PG / Lancaster / 2021
Taylor is one of the fastest players regardless of class. Taylor made defenders look like they were stuck in quick sand the way he was able to change direction. Wade currently holds several high major division 1 offers and if he continues to play the way he’s playing I won’t surprised if more offers come his way in the future.
Jaquan Scott / 6’8″ / PF / Mansfield Timberview / 2020
Scott is a skilled athletic forward that competed at a high level and was active on both ends of the floor. He had a tough assignment against another top forward in the state but he did a great job of his length to make it tough on his opponent.
