Team Preview: Plano West
Team Preview: Plano Wolves????
The Plano West Wolves has a lot of versatility on their team. Last year their top players were young but they have matured since then and are ready to play and compete against some of the best teams in the state. Senior guard Ryan Zambie is the teams returning leading scorer, while senior point guard Daylen Minor started all last season for the Wolves. Daylen and Ryan will form a veteran backcourt, but they will also be joined by a talented front court with top 40 prospects in the state for the class of 2021 small forward Christian Green and power forward Alec Zambie.
Top Players
Ryan Zambie / 6’2” / SG / 2019
Zambie is one of the best returning scorers in the state. He is constantly in attack mode and knows how to use angles to finish at the rim.
Alec Zambie / 6’6” / PF / 2021
Alec does everything you need him to do. He is long and active around the basket. Zambie had a coming out party at the Pangos All-South Camp when he displayed a great feel for the game on both ends of the floor. Zambie can hit the mid range jumper and also score in the post over smaller defenders. He is still somewhat under the radar, but has a chance to help his stock by having a strong high school season.
Christian Green / 6’5” / SF / 2021
Christian handles it well for a wing and likes to grab the rebound and bring it up. He finishes well in transition is an athletic player with long arms. Green needs to be more patient on the offensive end and not force it as much when he has the ball in his hands.
