Team Preview Cedar Hill Trinity Christian
Team Preview: Trinity Christian Cedar Hill
Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill is the only private school team I have previewed so far. They have some good looking prospects on their team and just because they are not as big as a public school does not mean they are not as talented. The Tigers are led by four-star senior big man Tyreek Smith (Texas A&M commit) and a top 50 prospect in the state 2019 small forward Isaiah Range. They also have a nice shooting guard in 6’4″ senior Jordan Berry to help them on the offensive end of the ball. Last year, the Tigers lost in the state championship game vs. Second Baptist by three points and this year they are looking for revenge by taking care of some unfinished business.
Top Players
Tyreek Smith / 6’8” / PF / 2019
Tyreek is a hybrid forward that uses his crazy athleticism to block shots and finish with thunderous dunks at the rim. Smith is still working on his back to the basket game, but has shown some improvement in thus. Has decent face up game that allows him to blow past bigs who play him too close on the defensive end. There will not be a better big than Tyreek Smith in TAPPS Basketball and he will definitely take advantage of that this season. Look for Tyreek to have a huge senior season.
Isaiah Range / 6’3″ / SF / 2019
Isaiah is an athletic forward that flourishes in transition where he displays the ability to finish over the rim. Range is known for being one of the best in game dunkers in the state. He is also a good defender that uses his physicality and athleticism to make it hard on opponents.
