Some Early Season Private School Matchups To Watch!
Nov 9, 2018 -Grace Christian vs United Faith: This game will be a good test for Grace Christian as they have a team that is returning a bunch of firepower and experience. They will be on the road at United Faith which is a program that has achieved quite a bit of success over the years. The Falcons lost some of their top scorers due to graduation so we shall see how everything shakes out.
Nov 9, 2018- Elevation Prep vs Combine Academy: If you’re in the CLT area then you may want to stop in and check this game out. Elevation Prep is a program that we have watched closely over the years and each year they have a college prospect or two, they are well coached and a disciplined squad. Combine Academy is a program that is well known and always features multiple players from out of state, this one should be a good and a good test for Elevation Prep.
Nov 9, 2018- Calvary Day vs Asheville Christian: The player that many will be watching is Calvary Day School Guard Jackson Gammons, although he has already completed his recruitment by committing to The Citadel, he is still a fun player to watch.
Nov 13, 2018- Fayetteville Christian vs Cape Fear Academy: Cape Fear brings back some big time talent so this will be a huge test for the new look FCS Warriors. The Warriors added 2020 Forward Jaden Scriven who we feel can have a special talent but to compete with Cape Fear they will need big time performances from the entire team.
Nov 16, 2018- Village Christian vs Wesleyan Christian: Expect some fireworks in this matchup, both teams have achieved success over the years and have reputation around the state for having top tier talent. Wesleyan graduated quite a few players but they bring back a nice amount as well, Village doesn’t have a ton of returners but their new transfers are special without a doubt!
Nov 16, 2018- Greensboro Day vs Christ School: To see a game like this being played so early in the season is different but there is no doubt that this has a chance to be a really good one. GDS features the top 2 prospects in the 2021 Class but also has a team full of college prospects. Christ School loses Jalen Lecque to transfer but have no fear, they have plenty of talent including multiple D1 upperclassmen.
Nov 17, 2018- High Point Christian vs Trinity Christian:The amount of college prospects that will be on the court for this one is something special! Trinity has multiple players in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 class that are receiving a nice amount of college interest, while High Point has a younger group of guys in the 2021 class that are leading the way. This very well could be the game that 2021 Guard KJ Garrett turns the corner as far as national attention as he will be matched up against some good upperclassmen guards.
