Six Top 2020 Forwards
Luke Davis, 6-7 215, F, 2020, Wesleyan Christian, High Point, NC
This young man is an explosive athlete, whose game is evolving steadily, thanks to hard work. Luke hits the boards well on both ends of the court. He’s a solid defender who blocks his share of opponent’s shot attempts. Luke has become a really good shooter, plus he’s driving it and finishing, with power. He also possesses a good post up game.
Luke Davis
Asanti Price, 6-5 175, SF, 2020, Combine Academy, Lincolnton, NC
This lean young man is a transfer from Eau Claur High School in, Columbia, SC. It was obvious Saturday, that he’s been working on his perimer stroke. He hit the tre ball consistently on Saurday and his form is good. In the past, he was primarily a threat from mid-range, but not from the arc.
Asanti Price
Jacari Outlaw, (Pictured at the top), 6-5 180, SF, 2020, Greenfield School, Wilson, NC
He’s a wing, who drives it well and who finishes well in transition also. He gets up well on his finishes, which often result in a bang. His mid-range shot is solid.
Jerome Williams
Jordan Williams, 6-5 195, SF, 2020, Ben L Smith HS, Greensboro, NC
He’s a solid SF, who attacks the basket well. his md-range shot needs some work, but part of that is because he’s playing football. Good chance, he’ll play football in college, but he has two years left, so who knows?
Tyrece Thompson
Tyrece Thompson, 6-2 190, 2G, 2020 Asheville HS, Asheville, NC
This young man is a very solid player and he has one of the best mid-range jumpers around. He’s a natural SF, so his lack of height means DII for him, where he should flourish.
Devante Patterson
Devante Patterson, 6-3 185, SF, 2020, Jay M Robinson HS, Concord, NC
A twin, he’s an undersized SF, for I, so DII is likely his calling and he should flourish at that level. He drives it well and his mid-range shot is solid. He defends aggressively.
