SCBCA : Under the Radar Players
Prep Hoops is not perfect by any means like others claim to be in this business. Prep Hoops saw a few kids here today at the SCBCA Elite Camp that we feel are Under the Radar Prospects. Lets take a closer look at these players in this article.
Jeremiah Reeves (2019) – River Bluff HS (Lexington)
Reeves was a player I have seen stats on as a player but had never seen him play live. WOW this kid was fun to watch. Reeves 6’6 was all over the floor finishing around the basket and filled the lane very well in transition. Reeves had a motor that never slowed down today here at the SCBCA Elite Camp. Reeves connected on some perimeter jumpers while playing inside-out on the floor. Reeves averaged 13,3 ppg and 6.7 rebounds last season.
Joshua Felder (2019) – Spring Valley HS (Columbia)
Felder was slashing to the basket at will today. Felder who ran with the South Carolina Ballers on the Grassroots Circuit has really good length and defends the passing lanes well. Felder always seemed to be in position to receive the ball or to defend the ball.
Marcus Moore (2019) – Socastee HS (Myrtle Beach)
Moore 6’8 is improving every time we see him play. Moore is a late bloomer on the floor but has the ability to hit the 8-10 footer on the floor. Moore runs the floor very well and keeps the ball up high when rebounding it. Moore has great length with a 7’2 wingspan. Moore moves well away from the ball and seems very coachable on the floor.
Ashton Parker (2019) – Northwestern HS (Rock Hill) (pictured on front)
Parker we first saw this summer with the Charlotte Dragons. Parker was great in the paint blocking shots and on the offensive end finishing with dunks on the offensive end. Parker has great length and is very quick off the floor. Parker with a slender frame doesn’t play timid at all while on the floor. Parker 6’5 is going to be a good pickup for someone at the next level in college.
