Recruiting Update: MICHIGAN COMMITMENT NEWS
Chandler Turner (Detroit Renaissance G/F) –Turner committed to Bowling Green. One of the top players in the PSL and his AAU team was REACH Legends. Turner’s big brother Justin is currently a starting guard for Bowling Green. He had an incredible junior season at Renaissance and he’ll be a big-time standout this upcoming season for Renaissance who is going be a top team in Class A.
Nate Talbot (Lake Orion C) – From the under-the-radar gem department in the state’s boys hoopster ranks, this 6-foot-10 diamond in the ruff out of the OAA committed to Wayne State. Talbot posted 12 points and 8 rebounds a game last winter. This AAU season Talbot was one of several very strong forward’s on the Michigan Mustangs who were impressive throughout the Spring and Summer.
De’Airrus Ware (Muskegon G/F) – The high-flying swingman from the west side of the state committed to Northwood after coming over to Muskegon from Reeths-Puffer in the offseason. Ware is a long and lengthy player with nice athleticism and shoots well. Ware who played AAU with the West Michigan Lakers committed to NU while holding 7 offers.
Josh Laman (Ludington) – an all-state small forward, committed to Spring Arbor. The Orioles’ 6-foot, 5-inch power forward will be best remembered for hitting a last second three as a sophomore in the state semi-finals. He can play with his back to the basket and score in the post. He can also beat defenders off the dribble, and he can step out and knock down perimeter shots. His tool box is full.
Dylan Jergens (Howardsville Christian School PG 2019 ) committed to Central Michigan (MI). He played his AAU ball with Strictly Skills. The 2 time All Stater led the Eagles to an appearance in the Class D quarterfinals. Jergens averaged 32 points, six assists, five rebounds, four assists and four steals per game last year.
Stacy Davis (Loyola High School C 2019) – This 6’8 Big Man committed to Kentucky State. He brings with him to the Blue Grass state size and strength. He played his AAU ball with the Detroit Spartans.
