Recruiting Report: Pierrce Perry (2019)
Coming down from New York, Pierrce Perry is spending post grad year at NTSI in Orlando.
The 6’6″, 200-pound forward averaged 11 PPG, 3.0 APG and 3.0 BPG at St. Mary’s.
“We lost in the playoffs in the semifinals to Chaminade,” Perry told Prep Hoops. “During the spring, I played in is8 in Queens and we made the playoffs. I was more of a hustle player on that team and that helped us out.”
During the summer, Perry ran with Rising Stars Elite where he said the UA Challenge in Atlanta was his favorite tournament.
He says he’s really excited to watch and learn from the coaches at NTSI.
“I know I have a lot to learn if I want to make it to the next level and I’m most excited for the exposure that I never had in high school to show college coaches what I can do,” Perry said.
In terms of his biggest strengths, Perry pointed to his hustling, rebounding and inside scoring. He wants to improve his ball handling and jump shot.
No offers have come yet for him, but Fairleigh Dickinson has shown interest.
There should be a chance to Perry get the looks he needs to play at the next level with a highly competitive NTSI program. He’s a long tweener who can play either the 3 or 4 spots on the floor. In a small lineup, he can line up at center and use his athleticism to his advantage.
Pierce Perry, a true 6’6” with tons of upside. Crazy athleticism‼️ Never seen a kid do this before in the middle of a game. @prephoopsfl @FloridaHoops #floridahoops #unsigned pic.twitter.com/0hDbMa96Xp
