Who is Parker Jones? He is the St. James guard that neared triple-doubles.  The other D1 Minnesota Rise senior talent that was a pest.  And Parker is a name for schools to know this winter.

After scoring 17 a game Jones led St. James to a 10 win year and the hopes are a big step forward in 2018-19.

“I’m mostly looking forward to playing with my teammates, they are like brothers to me and now it’s my senior year so it should be really fun,” Parker explained.  “I’m also excited to showcase our skills as team and also a individual.”

Parker knows that for this team to take steps it starts with him.  So he’s in the gym grinding.

“I’m really looking on improving my ability to score while also getting my teammates involved,” Parker said.

There are college programs that have noticed and are in contact with Jones.

“I’m visiting Gustavus on Monday and visited Bethany last week,” Parker said. “I’m also looking to visit St. Olaf soon.”

A big reason for the growth of Jones was playing with D1 Minnesota Rise this 17u season.  It allowed Parker to play against some tough opponents plus grow with guys that have become good friends.

“Probably this last summer of AAU ball,” said Jones of his most memorable hoops moment.  “I really enjoyed playing for Rise and with my teammates.”
