Calvin Felder ranked #6 in the Prep Hoops 2019 Palmetto State Class has made a decision on college for next season. Felder 6’7 forward will play his college basketball at Boston College in the ACC Conference. Felder who plays at Class 5-A Sumter HS played with Upward Stars Southeast 2019 this summer on the Grassroots Circuit.
Felder decided on Boston College over Murray State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and LSU. Felder is back to lead Shawn Jones squad and the Gamecocks in the region with the likes of Blythewood and Irmo.
Deuce Dean, Jaylin McCreary and Michel Dukes round out the Top 10 kids in the Palmetto State that haven’t committed yet for next season.
Ta’Jay Dunlap decided to end his recruitment and play at Southern Wesleyan University (SC) (NCAA D2) next fall. Dunlap a point guard from Westwood HS ran the Grassroots Circuit with the Carolina Pressure . Dunlap will team up this season with Russell Jones (Winthrop bound) and new Head Coach Ty Baumgartner.
Traveon Davis has picked up a offer from South Carolina State University according to Clarendon Hall Head Coach Anthony Reitenour. Davis (2020) transferred into the SCISA 1-A school this summer from nearby Lake Marion HS. Davis played this summer with Upward Stars Southeast 2020 on the Grassroots Circuit.
Prep Hoops will start focusing on Region Previews this coming week. The High School season is just about a month away from the start of official games.
