Prospect Spotlight: DeMarcus Spivey (2020)
Combo guard DeMarcus Spivey, out of the 2020 class, recovered from a knee injury over the summer but proved that he is pretty much back to full strength when he attended the Top 250 Showcase a few weeks back.
Spivey, a 6-foot-2 Middleburg product, has range from beyond the arc and also has a smooth jumper off the dribble. His court vision and length allows him to be a threat on the fast break as well.

Over the off-season, along with his AAU season that included the Vegas Fab 48 and Hoop Group showcases in Pittsburg, Spivey looked to work on his strength. Adding physical attributes, along with speed, will help push Spivey to be a very solid prospect for the college ranks.
“I was looking to get stronger,” Spivey said. “I was lifting more, trying to get my speed up – and shooting.
“I’m always shooting.”
Only heading into his junior campaign, Spivey hasn’t landed any official college interest yet but mentioned that he has had preliminary talks with a few programs.
Playing on a Middleburg team that is returning a plethora of talent, Spivey will continue to improve. He is excited for who they have returning.
“We look great this year,” Spivey said. “A whole lot of talent.
