Prospect Introduction: Anthony Brown (2022)
On and off the court, Anthony Brown puts in the work.
The 2022 guard has attended Orlando Christian Prep since the 5th grade. He holds a 3.9 GPA and attended the CP3 Middle School Combine where he was named to the Top 20 team.
A 6’3″, 160-pounder, Brown will be part of a new look Orlando Christian Warriors group. He averaged 20 PPG with the JV squad as an 8th grader.
“I became more confident in taking my shot and accepting contact at the rim. I’m excited mostly to practice with varsity and hopefully make the team,” Brown told Prep Hoops. “I love the fact that coach Treig (Burke) has faith in me to get better. It’s great playing with the new guys because we are all learning the OCP system together in which I feel would make us a better team and gain that chemistry needed.”
Brown has been with E1T1 since the 2nd grade. He ended his summer playing with them in the 8th Grade Finale during Peach Jam. Brown also trains with Darryl Hardin and coach Chucky Atkins’ team Orlando Ice.
No offers or interest just yet for the freshman, but he hopes to make some noise this season and on the circuit next spring and summer.
His twin sister Siarah also plays at Orlando Christian Prep.
Brown called his biggest strengths his attack to the basket, finish at the rim and ability to get to the free throw line. He’s aiming to improve his ballhandling further.
“I’m a believer in the lord and I’m very thankful to be in this situation that I’m facing right now,” he said. “I’ve worked hard for many years and I hope to one day make it to the next level and hopefully play pro ball. I was raised to be humble and thankful for all that happens me.”
Brown fits the bill as an ideal Orlando Christian Prep prospect. He’s athletic, versatile, down to earth and a student of the game. Look for him to get his chance to contribute to this team here this season. He’s a name to keep in mind moving forward.
