With recruiting heating up this fall, Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the latest commitments and offers from the Kansas City, Mo. area.
Lamel Robinson, 5’11, G, 2019, Park Hill South
Robinson enters his senior season at Park Hill South as a four year starter and a preseason Player of the Year candidate. He is a strong, quick point guard who can lead a team and score buckets from all three levels. He recently chose Nebraska Omaha, joining former Blue Springs South standout KJ Robinson and St. James Zach Thornhill as Kansas City standouts to join the Mavericks.
Glenn McClintock, 6’1, G, 2019, Rockhurst
McClintock is a scoring 2 guard who can shoot from the perimeter. He committed to play Division I basketball at Air Force on Aug.8 after a strong summer with KC Team Rush.
Nick Zeil, 6’5, F, 2019, Park Hill
Zeil is a strong, physical forward who loves to post up, bang in the post and get on the offensive glass. He recently committed to NCAA Division II program Truman State.
Javaunte Hawkins, 6’0, G, 2019, Lee’s Summit North
Hawkins is coming off a strong offseason running with MoKan Elite and announced his first offer from Division I Howard in May. He is a quick point guard type who can dial it up from long distance and create offense off the bounce.
Darrius Hughes, 6’5, F, 2019, Rockhurst
Hughes is a strong, athletic forward with an inside-out game. He drew an offer from hometown UMKC in August and also holds an offer from Omaha, Air Force and Abilene Christian.
Deandre Sorrells, 5’10, G, 2019, Grandview
Sorrells enters his senior season at Grandview as one of Missouri’s premier 3-point shooters after a strong offseason running with MoKan Elite. He announced his first offer from Air Force in May.
