Preseason Class AAAA All State
The Class AAAA level of talent basketball is stacked with talent so picking a small amount of guys was tough, but here is our Class AAAA preseason All State team.
The Starters
Jacob Beeninga of Wayzata (12). The Minnesota State-Moorhead commit has led Wayzata past Hopkins and to state each of the last two seasons.
Dawson Garcia of Prior Lake (11). At 22 points and 11 rebounds a game last year Garcia pushed his team into the top ten and to a 22-6 record.
Matthew Hurt of Rochester John Marshall (12). The best forward in the country is also the best player in the state of Minnesota.
Zeke Nnaji of Hopkins (12). A five star player and recruit, Zeke put up a 20 spot per game last year on a balanced team, and could produce even more.
Tyler Wahl of Lakeville North (12). The do-everything Wisconsin committed guard, wing, forward, whatever, Tyler Wahl wants the Panthers at state for the 8th straight year.
Bench Five
Courtney Brown Jr of East Ridge (12). Led the Raptors with 21.5 per game last year and is committed to Milwaukee.
Ben Carlson, of East Ridge (11). A top 50 junior nationally that scored 18.8 points per game and looks ready for a huge senior season.
Dain Dainja of Park Center (11). At 13.1 per game Dain is the PC leading returning scorer and a top 75 junior nationally.
Cole Nicholson of Chaska (12). A Northern Colorado committed wing that scored 22.1 points per game as a junior.
Drake Dobbs of Eden Prairie (11). The Eagles long distance producer scored 18 plus for a state tournament team a season ago.
