Player of the Year: 2019 Beau Cornwell, West Branch

A great athlete who puts up monster numbers for the Bears, Cornwell is far and away the leading returning scorer in the division and will be looking to lead West Branch to the top of the heap.

First Team

2019 Beau Cornwell, West Branch (23.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.8 steals)

The talented senior guard has put up huge scoring numbers for three years now, and could be among the state’s leaders in scoring this season if he improves his efficiency, especially from behind the arc (27.8% last year). He contributes across the board and is the most dynamic player in the division.

2019 Andrew Stewart, Tipton (13.6 points, 2.1 assists)

The Tigers appear to be one of the favorites in the division, and Stewart is a major reason why. The leading returning scorer for Tipton, he’s capable of scoring from all three levels and creating some issues on the defensive end.

2020 Masen Miller, Iowa City Regina (11.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 59 3PM, 43.7 3P%)

Probably the most talented player in either division, the junior point guard will be asked to take on a major scoring role for a Regals team that lost five of their top six scorers (Miller the only returnee). He’s a knockdown shooter and a fantastic ball handler and passer who will have to help break in a number of new players.

2019 Seth Feldman, West Liberty (17.1 points, 7.2 rebounds)

The Comets won just two games last season, and Feldman scored nearly 40% of their points. A versatile scoring threat who also competes on the glass, he should lead an improved West Liberty team to more wins this winter.

2019 Easton Botkins, Durant (14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.3 steals)

Botkins leads a group that returns four of their top five scorers. He’s a solid guard who contributes across the board, leading the Wildcats in scoring, while ranking third in assists and second in steals last season.

2019 Jared Townsend, Wilton

2020 Tanner Lukavsky, West Branch
