Elijah Elliott / 5’10″ /  St. Thomas (Houston, TX) / Level: Low Major

Strengths:

  • Elusive skinny guard who quicky splits through cracks in the defense to get a good look in the paint at the rim; finishes under the rim; changes speeds very well
  • Solid scorer from the outside off the dribble; creates space from the defense and gets good shot opportunities; has quick tight handles with a nice hesitation
  • Good stroke from deep; connects on open opportunities
  • Has quick and active hands on the defensive end

Weaknesses:

  • Needs to get stronger; easily bumped off balance when attacking the rim
  • Not a balanced point guard; wired to score; looks to created for others second

Justin Hill / 6’0″ / Fort Bend Travis / Level: Low Major

Strengths:

  • Explosive guard who makes the rim pop in transition; terrific one-foot jumper
  • Has a strong body to go along with supreme athleticism; jumps out the gym
  • his mindset is to attack and penetrate at will; has a quick first step to the basket; scores through traffic in the paint; acrobatic athlete in mid-air

Weaknesses:

  • Questionable decision making at the point guard spot; not a calm or poised point guard; can play out of control at times; takes risks
  • Poor outside shooter; must improve stroke from outside the paint

Latrell Jossell / 5’11″ / Keller Central / Level: Low Major

Strengths:

  • Lead guard with nice handles who can stroke it from deep
  • Heats up from the perimeter; microwave scorer
  • Gets into the lane and hits floaters

Weaknesses:

  • A shooting guard in a point guards body; known for scoring but always in the position to run the offense
  • Needs to improve as a facilitator; does not have the size to play the two at the next level
