Myron Poindexter, 5-10 165, G, 2020, Charles B. Aycock HS, Pikeville, NC. This young lefty is a very quick and bouncy player, who is solid in all phases of the game, but he is an outstanding defender. He has a good shooting stroke as well.
From the Class of 2021
Bryce Alfino, (pictured at the top), is promising young prospect. At 6-3, he has the potential to be a combo guard, or a two-Guard. He has solid handles and he shoots the ball well. He also is an unselfish player, who is a willing passer and he defends aggressively. His upside is very good, because he not only has good skills, he has good size for a guard.
Glenwood Robinson Jr.. is another combo guard, from the class of 2021. He can play either guard position and he will be a good player at Mooresville High School. At 5-11, he has solid handles and a nice jumper. He’s also a very good defender.
Three outstanding 2021 Point Guards
Chris Daniels is a talented 1G, that I first saw with Team Felton last summer. He’s quick and at 6-1, he has good size. He has solid point guard skills, including a solid handle and good passing skills. He’s unselfish, but he is a capable shooter.
Isaiah Holman is a 5-9 1G at East Wake High School, near Raleigh. He is ultra quick and shifty. He’s a skilled and unselfish creator, who also shoots the ball well and he is an outstanding, on-ball defender.
Tony Waters is a 5-10, 1G, at North Mecklenburg High School, in Huntersville, which is just north of Charlotte, in Mecklenburg County. Tony is ultra quick and he’s very good at changing speeds and creating for his teammates, He also shoots the ball well.
From the Class of 2022
There were four players at the Prep Hoops 250 and despite their youth, they held there own against the more experienced players.
Patrick Clevinger, a 6-3, 2022, Two-Guard, from James River High School in Buchanan, Virginia, played solid basketball and proved to have one of the nicest strokes at the Prep Hoops 250. He also played solid defense.
Keyon Webb is a 6-3 freshman at Riverside High School in Durham, North Carolina. After starting out a little slow, he seemed to reach a comfort zone, after the first game, playing good defense and hitting some mid-range shots.
Tejas Siva is a diminutive, 5-5, point guard, at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte. He has good quickness and he handles the ball really well. His shot is good, but he didn’t put up a lot of perimeter shots.
Tristan Harkins is a 6-2 freshman at Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville. He is a really solid player and he played well against the more experienced players on hand. He is a solid all around player and has a sweet stroke from the perimeter.
