MAC Preview: 2019 Sleepers
In preparation for the upcoming season, we will begin releasing preview content covering various teams and leagues around the DMV. For this series, we’re taking a look at a few seniors we believe continue to be slept on. This edition covers the MAC Conference.
RAPHE AYRES | 6’4 SF | MARET
If Maret will be a good team this year like we think they could, Raphe Ayres will be a big reason why. Not only is he a prolific three point threat at 6’4, but he is an excellent playmaker as well.
PRESTON BACON | 6’1 PG | POTOMAC SCHOOL
Preston Bacon is a tough point guard who defends well, can score, and create for others. He’s looking to build off a strong junior year, which we think he is in good position to do.
ETHAN JONES | 5’11 PG | FLINT HILL
During the Capitol Hoops Summer League, Ethan Jones showed that he can be a productive playmaking point guard. He’ll have plenty of opportunities to show what he can do as a senior, and should be able to take advantage.
JUSTIN LAW | 6’0 SG | POTOMAC SCHOOL
Left-handed sharpshooter Justin Law has proved in the past that he is a reliable scoring option. Expect the talented senior to have some big games this season.
JACK LEWIS | 6’3 SF | SIDWELL FRIENDS
Jack Lewis is one of the most improved players on the Sidwell roster heading into the season. The versatile lefty has earned the opportunity to contribute on both ends of the floor, and is in good position to deliver strong results.
NICK LEWIS | 6’3 SF | SIDWELL FRIENDS
Nick Lewis is another significantly improved player for Sidwell. Unlike his brother Jack, he is right-handed, but offers some of the same attributes when consdiering his versatility and work-ethic.
