PHD: What made the decision to go to DWU?
LH: When I went on my visit to DWU it immediately felt like home to me. The coaching staff was extremely friendly and the players there made it look more than a bunch of teammates it looked like a brotherhood and I wanted to be a part of it.
PHD: What made you chose basketball over football?
LH: The reason I chose basketball over football was because my passion and my heart are in basketball, not football.
PHD: How excited are you to be going to DWU for basketball?
LH: I’m extremely excited for DWU basketball, Wilber is an amazing coach and I can’t wait for him to play for him and from him to help me grow as a player and as a person.
PHD: What you do you expect out of yourself this final year?
LH: Personally the thing I expect from myself is to lead the team and be a role model to the underclassmen. I want to show them how things are done to be successful.
PHD: What do you expect out of your team this final year?
LH: The things I expect for the upcoming season as a team is that we compete day in and day out. It doesn’t matter if we are doing a 5 on 5 drills in practice or we are in a regular season game, I want us to compete and play hard. Because if there is one thing I have learned about class A basketball is anyone can win on any given night and if we play hard, play together and compete day in and day out good things will come and that’s what we want.
Heim and the Quarriers are set to start the season off against West Central on December 7.
