Kareem Rashed (2022): An Interview
Fans, coaches, and players are ready to see the class of 2022 lace up and begin their high school basketball careers. There is a lot of unique talent in the group, making them interesting to watch. One of the talented basketball players in the freshman class is Kareem Rashed. He is a 6’4” freshman at Detroit Country Day. Rashed played grassroots basketball for the Motor City Brothers. We caught up with Kareem Rashed to talk about his game, his goals, and more.
Question:
What are you looking forward to the most about high school basketball?
Kareem Rashed:
i’m looking forward mainly to the competition. My whole life it’s been easy in school basketball.
Question:
What is the strength of your game?
Kareem Rashed:
My main strength is probably shooting and dunking. I am a very good handler and catching off the dribble.
Question:
What is it that you provide to your team as a player?
Kareem Rashed:
I provide leadership and i make my team zone in when the time is needed. I also like to have a fun time on the court.
Question:
What are your goals for this coming season?
Kareem Rashed:
My goal this season is to start on varsity.
Question:
Who is the toughest player that you have ever matched up against?
Kareem Rashed:
Toughest player that I matched up against was probably Julian Roper. He’s class of 2021. AAU wise, the team Sky’s The Limit.
Question:
What are your long term goals off the court?
Kareem Rashed:
My goals off the court are to get all A’s and B’s in school and be a scholar in the classroom.
Question:
Who on your team are you really looking forward to playing with?
Kareem Rashed:
I am very excited to play with Zain AbuZahra, class of 2021, and Julian Roper and Mac Manciel on varsity.
Question:
What are your interests off the court?
Kareem Rashed:
Off the court i like to hang out with friends and listen to music.
