Hillsborough County Fall League: Wednesday Night Notes
I made the pop over to Plant on Wednesday night to watch the Panthers host Robinson and Jefferson.
Here is a look at the top performers.
Plant
—2019 forward Bobby Gough showed off his toughness. He’s a scrappy player who scores on cuts to the hoop and on his own attacks. He’s a core defender who is a steady point getter and is reliable on inside feeds.
—2020 forward Reagan Weiss was on fire from deep. He’s very smart as a passer down low and in transition. He got better as the game went on.
—2019 Collin Sowada, a transfer from Seminole showed off his passion for the game. He’s a fiery offensive player who’s always putting his body on the line on attacks and plays in transition. He’s a vision passer who likes to dish it around.
Note: 2019 Logan Morrissey was sitting out with an ankle injury.
Robinson
—2020 forward Dexter Caldwell is always moving and cutting. He’s skinny but athletic. Caldwell can drive into traffic too much leading to turnovers but is an active piece of the Knights offense.
—2019 guard Jovani Saturno is a vocal leader who is mature and keeps his unit in check. He’s at his best when he is setting up the offense and shooting 3’s.
Jefferson
—2019 guard Javonte Solomon finds good areas on the floor and seems to always grab tough boards. He creates for his own and gets to the rack routinely. He’s a leader for his group.
—2020 forward Cameron Wiley is a big strong body in the paint who likes to hustle often. He should give his side heavy minutes.
