Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage: Part 2
Alan Rhone / Chisholm Trail / 6’4″ / Forward / Chisholm Trail / 2019
No player in the Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage Shootout played harder than Alan Rhone from start to finish, he played with a high motor and didn’t need to have the ball in his hands to make an impact on the game. He may not be the tallest player on his squad but there’s no question that this athletic forward is the toughest on this Chisholm Trail team.
Ben Moffat / 6’9″ / Rider High / 2019
Moffat is a tough big man that plays with grit and battles down low with other big men on the defensive end. He isn’t the most athletic big but he uses his body to keep players from being comfortable on the post and boxes out bigger defenders. Moffat also showcased a plethora of post moves on the block.
Ty Caswell / 6’6″ / SG / Rider High / 2019
Caswell is a 6ft.6 Shooting Guard that has great size for position and understands how to play off the ball. Ty is also a pretty good ball handler that can help bring the ball up when needed. On top of him being a good shooter, he also showed that he’s an excellent passer, I was very blown away with how the way Ty saw the floor.
C.J. Noland / 6’1″ / Guard / Waxahachie / 2021
Noland is former football player that has transitioned to basketball full time, the 2021 guard is deceptively quick and uses his strong body to get into the lane where he was able to finish at the rim. Waxahachie lost three starters from last year but this talented young group led by Noland and Darius Miles will have chance to compete for a 6a district title.
