EE Smith HS Season Preview
The Golden Bulls are under new leadership this season with the addition of Coach Snow and Asst. Coach Benders, both who played collegiately and have a great knowledge of the game. They are a team that has quite a bit of youth and may have some growing pains early on in the season, but once it all comes together, they have a chance to be a very solid squad.
Sophomore PG Anthony Geddis: He is one of the smaller players in town but his quickness, ballhandling and shooting ability are all things we like about him. Look for him to have a solid season and to only get better as time goes on.
Senior Guard Chris Jordan: Look for Chris to be a player that provides some scoring for the squad, throughout the summer we saw him put together some nice scoring performances with the Fayetteville Spurs. Jordan has the ability to knock down the trey ball but also get into the paint and finish or draw fouls.
Junior Forward Jaylen Siermons: We like what he could possibly be if he stays locked in and works hard, he has the ability to be a nice SF/Stretch Forward for this team. He has nice athletic ability, can shoot the short corner and midrange shot and has a nice amount of upside to him.
Senior Forward Odell Gamble: Still has some rawness to his game but he provides some much needed size for this team that can be used on the boards and for defense. If he locks in on crashing the offensive and defensive boards, he can be a player that has a very productive season for the Golden Bulls.
Senior Forward Keondre Fryar: If you didn’t know already, this young man is a high flyer! He can finish above the rim at a nice rate and blocks shots on the defensive end as well. We have seen him step and shoot the trey ball as well at times so if he can put it all together, he could end up being a player that has a bigtime season.
