Team Wall produces some of the top prospects in the country in their short time of being on the shoe circuit. Next in line is MJ Rice out of Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. The John Wall sponsored organization does everything first-class and that includes having first-class players on each of their teams.

The high-flying 6-foot-5 wing has already picked up offers from Pitt, NC Central and Boston College already. He is a high-powered athlete that can attack the rim with ferocious dunks. He spent time playing up in the 16U and 17U division for Team Wall this summer. He was invited to the USA Basketball training event that brought together the top 25 players in the 2021 and 2022 class in Colorado Springs, Colorado a few weeks ago and was the talk of the event on a potential level.

Coach’s Words

Head Coach Tim McKenna had this to say about his star freshman, “

He has a tremendous motor and work ethic for a ninth grader. He is strong, athletic and tough on both ends of the floor. He has fit in very well with our guys and we are excited to have him as a member of our Durham Academy Basketball Family.”

What’s Next

The sensational freshman will lead Durham Academy this season and will be known around the state as a guy to guard and the top player in the class for North Carolina. He is going to be recruited at the highest level and is going to get his share of attention.

John Wall Praise

Team Wall founder and Washington Wizards point guard John Wall had this to say about Rice, ““He’s got that dog in him and he never backs down. He can be special!” Thats some high praise coming from an NBA All-Star.
