Sam Freeman / 6’10″ / C / Northwest
Freeman (pictured above) is an athletic big that tries to block and dunk everything, plays with nastiness, and competes at a high level. The three-star big man is still uncommitted and will more than likely wait until Spring to make his decision.
Nigel Johns / 6’10″ / C / Homeschool
Nigel Johns had probably the quietest spring and summer out of any top 30 player in the state. Our staff wasn’t able to see his summer team much this past grassroots season, because of the tournaments they played in. The lack of exposure from AAU hasn’t stopped the Dallas big man from picking up offers from Oral Roberts and Washington State these past couple weeks. Nigel is an athletic big with a good body, that finishes strong around the rim, still needs to improve footwork.
D.J. Basey / 6’9″ / C / Mesquite Poteet
Basey has a chiseled frame and a good motor that displays toughness on the glass. He currently has no offers yet, but that should change very soon.
Will Isaac / 6’9″ / C / Round Rock
Isaac is a pick and pop type of big, has a nice looking jumpshot and loves to showcase it when left open. He has long arms and decent athleticism, but needs to get stronger on the block on both ends of the floor.
Xavier Cork / 6’9″ / C / Sulphur Springs
Cork started off hot in the spring picking up a couple of Division I offers, but cooled off towards the end of the summer and did not pick up any more afterwards. Xavier has a long frame, runs the floor hard and hustles for rebounds. He also is a good interior passer that constantly finds the open man. Xavier has improved since last high school season and is poised to have a breakout senior season.
Zach Iyeyemi / 6’8 / C / Cy Fair
Iyeyemi is a wide-bodied big that uses his frame to finish through defenders. He loves to play on the block and post up to score inside. Zach needs to continue to work on his body but will be a productive paint player at the next level.
