A Look at 2021 in NC
A closer look at some of the prospects in the 2021 class for North Carolina.
6’5, W Jalen McDonald (Knightdale HS)-Explosive and athletic; still very raw at this point but has the tools necessary to be a high-level prospect; Ole Miss has offered recently; showed a consistent shot from the mid-range; plays above the rim;
6’2, PG Elijah Jamison (Louisburg HS)-Strong bodied guard that has a strong handle; can take hits; strong; physical; good size at the PG position; also recently offered by Ole Miss;
6’5, G Redford Dunton (Heritage HS)-Skilled guard that sometimes goes inside and get his buckets; versatile; able to guard multiple positions; able to knock down the mid-range jump-shot consistently.; mismatch at HS Level with fundamentals and size at guard position.
6’5, G BJ Freeman (Word of God)-Long and athletic; high volume scorer that also does a good job of rebounding. Had multiple 25+ point games with 10+ rebounds; Handles the ball well enough to play a little point forward;
6’1, PG Kobe Paysour (Kings Mountain)-Big time athlete. One of the best WRs in the State for football. Is great at getting in the paint and making plays for others and himself. Really good in the pick and roll. Has a nice mid range game Has work hard to become a more consistent jump shooter.
6’3, G Po’Boigh King (Roanoke Rapids)-Sweet shooting guard that doesn’t waste many movements. Has some sneaky quickness and a very quick release on his jump-shot. Not afraid to mix it up and crash the glass and has some passing ability as well. Averaging 15 points & 4 assists per game.
6’1, PG KJ Garrett (High Point Christian)-strong, fast and has vision that opens up the floor. A true floor-general; controls the ball and the tempo; should flourish at High Point Christian next HS season.
6’3, G Carter Whitt (Leesville Road)-Regarding as one of the top prospects in the state at the PG spot, Whitt plays years above his age and is a legitimate threat when he has the ball in his hands, really good handle, high basketball IQ.
