2021 Frank Anselem Recruitment Update
Atlanta, GA – The 6-foot-10 sophomore center Frank Anselem is a sure name we should get familar with if we are not already familar with. Anselem, a native out of Nigeria, has recently transferred from powerhouse Westlake High School (Atlanta, GA) to the second year program in Lincoln Academy (Suwanee, GA). Frank joins an already talented front court and will be looking develop his game while playing a national schedule this season.
We spoke to Frank’s AAU coach to get an update on where he sits in his recruitment so far. He holds offers from Tennessee, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and Xavier so far. Programs like Arkansas have expressed very strong interest in the young center and should be offering soon. “Tennessee, Kasnas State, Arkansas, are the most involved”, his AAU coach tells me. Frank has already visited Auburn and Tennessee multiple times unofficially and is planning on going back to Tennessee and taking a visit to Clemson this year as well.
The sophomore big man had a nice summer circuit running with Georgia Stars 15U this season in the Nike EYBL. His stellar play earned him a spot in Nike’s top freshman and sophomore camp called the Nike Elite 100 that is held in June in St. Louis, MO. Frank shows shades of a Clint Capela type of center with his long arms that helps him when protecting the rim on defense. He is an athletic big who also able to run the floor as well, one of Georgia’s top sleepers.
